As if 2009, was not exciting enough, 2010 promises to be an even more fun-filled, adventurous year for Greensboro native, Evin Gibson. In 2010, Evin, whose musical pallet embraces pop, R&B, rock and dance will unleash his feverish flare to the nation of Europe in his first Live European Tour. Get Ready!
Evin is an award winning singer, songwriter, and producer whose more than a decade of experience in the music business as an independent artist has garnered him the attention and admiration of fans both domestically and internationally. Gibson, who hails from South Carolina , discovered his musical talents at a very young age when he started singing in a gospel group with his sisters. "Before long, I discovered I not only had a 3.5 octave range, but I also realized that I had a passion for creating soulful songs," Evin shares. Evin's command of writing catchy, head bobbing tunes, would eventually lead him to Track Force Productions, a Greensboro , NC based music production company owned and operated by Quan McNair. Together, they collaborated on Evin's sophomore project, Life in E-Vision, 2006, which to date has sold thousands of copies. Additionally, the album received airplay around the nation and won numerous independent music awards, including Best Male R&B Singer/Best R&B Album. "Of this Album," Evin states, "People want to relate. They want to know that it's something [real] you're singing about." "Realness" to his musical craft is one thing Evin takes great pride in. "If you play a beat for me, then I can make it a song. I will find the heart in a song and stick it," Evin shares.
With the under-penning of his newest project, Evin sets out to unveil yet another side of himself. Time and time again, Evin has proven he is unafraid to go "left-field" and this project boasts this same spirit. "Monumental", the latest single, with its bass thumping, finger popping invitation, from the forth coming album, set to be released in late 2009-2010, is already being raved about domestically and abroad, special thanks to the world-wide-web. Like the single, the newest album will showcase the escalating growth of Evin Gibson's musical genius. Gibson, who didn't want an album of ballads, was inspired to show a more fun side of himself. And certainly, this forth coming project expresses this. Speaking of certainly, close attention should be paid to this rising phenomenon, as HE is "CERTAINLY" an unsigned icon in the making of something greater.
